Wegmans Brand Sorbet Issues an Allergen Alert

Wegmans Sorbet announced a limited recall of its 16 oz. Wegmans brand Sorbets because they may contain a milk allergen, not declared on the product label.
The recall involves those people that have a milk allergy, who are at risk of serious or possible life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled products.
The products were distributed in Wegmans Food Markets located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland.
All four sorbet flavors are included in the recall with the following “Best Used By Dates” which can be found on the bottom of the container:
Green Apple: OCT 2008; MAR 15, 09
Lemon: FEB 11, 09
Pink Grapefruit: FEB 11, 09
Raspberry: SEP 2008; NOV 2, 08; FEB 11, 09
Consumers who may have purchased Wegmans Sorbet with recalled code dates and flavors may return the products to any Wegmans store to receive a full refund.
