Two Women Killed, One Seriously Injured in Wareham Car Crash

Chrissie ColeNovember 29, 2007 11:34 PMTwo women were killed and a third was seriously injured in a four-vehicle car accident this morning, on Route 6, in Wareham, according to police.
The accident happened just after 9:30 am, Thursday, in front of the Burger King on Cranberry Highway.
A Ford Taurus apparently traveling at a high rate of speed, crossed the double yellow lines and struck another vehicle. After the initial crash, the driver continued traveling against oncoming traffic, striking two more vehicles, police said.
The last vehicle was hit in front of McDonald's, less then a mile from the Burger King where the first crash happened. Two women were killed in the crash and a third woman was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Reconstruction Team and the Wareham Police Department.
